The Maryland Youth Development Insitute Online Professional Development platform provides more than 100 courses specifically designed for school-age youth program providers. Take free and low-cost courses conveniently on-demand and at your own pace.

The School-Age Certificate series provides Core of Knowledge Credit through the Maryland State Department of Education.

MOST will work with state and local systems supporting afterschool and summer programs to design and implement training related to specific funding opportunities, program models and/or content areas customized to the needs and scope of the community of practice. MOST can handle all logistics including scheduling, communication, and registration and will subcontract with experienced trainers and technical assistance providers to ensure high quality and meaningful learning experiences.

Examples include:

• Providing pre-application technical assistance and review for grant seekers
• Designing or building a multi-day training institute
• Executing one-time training workshops
• Providing one-on-one of group technical assistance

• Each year, MOST facilitates one or more cohort based Professional Learning Communities. Learning Communities provide a deep dive perspective and operate in a cohort model usually over six months to a year. Learning Communities are recruited through Requests for Applications which are posted to our website and newsletter.
